The Harvard Undergraduate Leadership Magazine
The Harvard Undergraduate Leadership Magazine, founded in 2008, addresses a need for more leadership resources and training among Harvard undergraduates. The magazine seeks to introduce students to various interpretations of leadership and, more importantly, to provide concrete knowledge so individuals can become better leaders.
In the spirit of our philosophy that the best way to teach leadership is to demonstrate it, the magazine illustrates effective leadership skills, habits, and values while profiling veteran leaders and the rich lessons offered by their experience. We hope our publication will become a fundamental resource at Harvard for students aiming to strengthen their leadership abilities. The magazine is entirely student-run and all content is developed, written, and managed by students. Experts in the field of leadership will occasionally pen their own columns.
The Harvard Undergraduate Leadership Magazine is composed of three sections:
- LEADERSHIP SKILLS: How-to articles, some drawing upon real-life case studies, with practical information and advice about specific skills of leadership
- INTERVIEWS & BIOGRAPHIES: Interview-based stories of student leaders and distinguished professionals
- DIRECTORY OF LEADERSHIP RESOURCES: Listing of select leadership development opportunities for undergraduates, many in the Harvard or Boston area
